Chief priest of temple murdered

The chief priest of the Eshwara Temple in Sella Kataragama was found murdered today. According to the police, the priest was found dead in a jungle close to the Temple with stab wounds. The victim was identified as Rajapaksa Mudiyansalage Premadasa (70). His body was found early this morning. Investigations are underway. (Colombo Gazette)

Dengue kills Colombo uni student

A law faculty student of the Colombo university died this morning from dengue. The student was among those admitted to the Colombo national hospital yesterday.
