Army Commander insists no threat to National security

Crishanthe De SilvaArmy Commander Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva today insisted that there was no threat to National Security.

Speaking to reporters in Kandy, the Army Commander said that the army is giving priority to National security on the instructions of President Maithripala Sirisena.

He said that there is no room for terrorism to raise its head once again in the country.

“The army will not even allow terrorism to raise its head here once again,” he added.

The Army Commander also said that the army will continue to assist the war displaced families in the North. (Colombo Gazette)
