Child attacked by crocodile in Meegalewa

A toddler has been attacked by a crocodile in the Yaya 03 Lake in the Meegalewa area. The incident had occurred when a woman and her 3 ?-year-old toddler were bathing in the lake last evening. The child who was rescued by area residents together with officials from the Department of Wildlife Conservation had died after being admitted to the Thambuththegama hospital. Two teens drown in Polpithigama

Two individuals died due to drowning while bathing in the Kanapaddan Lake in Polpithigama last evening. The Police said area residents had rescued the two individuals, who had later died after being admitted to the Polpithigama hospital. The deceased have been identified as a 16-year-old resident of Ganemulla and a 19- year-old from Nikandhalupotha.
