Lankan Tamil refugee sets herself on fire

The woman J. Rohini is undergoing treatment at the Mahatma Gandhi Government Hospital in Tiruchi, The Hindu newspaper reported.

Police sources said domestic tiff between the woman and her husband was said to have driven her to resort to the extreme step.

The woman poured kerosene on her body and set herself afire in the refugee camp in the late night hours. The sources said the woman had suffered nearly 40 per cent burns.

  1. It is easy to have a suicide vest to kill herself and others, or set herself on fire in the name of freedom. But continuing her higher studies or working in a factory is very hard. Foreign powers are encouraging easy exist for their own interests, and Tamils are falling for it.
