Police to be on alert for religious attacks

The police will be on alert for attacks carried out against religions with the introduction of a new hotline. According to the police media unit, the hotline will come into effect tomorrow (Sunday) and will be operational 24 hours of the day. Father kills kids, commits suicide

A father killed his two children and then?committed?suicide in Kandy today, the police media unit said. The police said that the father had given his two children poison following a personal?dispute?at home and killed himself.
