Post offices to resume service in May

All post offices in the country that were closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, will resume operations from 04 may 2020. Postmaster- General Ranjith Ariyaratne said that payments of monthly public allowances, allowances for elders, pension for retired farmers and pensioners will be undertaken at the post offices. Over 190 Navy personnel infected

A total of 198 Navy personnel are reported to be infected with COVID-19 in Sri Lanka as of 06.00 p.m. today. Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said the infected Navy officers include 148 from within the Navy Camp in Welisara and 45 who were on leave.
