Young doctor reported missing

A young female doctor has been reported missing whike she was on her way from Matara to Hikkaduwa last evening. Erandi Kulasinghe, who works at Matara General Hospital, left the hospital around 6pm last evening to go Hikkaduwa driving a dark blue Nissan March (KC 5160), her friends and relatives said in messages sent around today. The last time she contacted her husband she had been near Labaduwa in Galle. A?complaint?has been lodged with the police over the missing doctor.

Kotte Mayor to make startling revalation

Kotte Mayor Janaka Ranawaka has threatened to reveal the names of the police officers and drug dealers involved in the heroin trade in the Kotte area. Chinese woman arrested selling phones in Kandy

A Chinese woman was arrested in Kandy while she was selling mobile phones, the police media unit said today. The police said that the woman was in Sri Lanka as a tourist and had no?authorization?to do business. She was arrested while selling the mobile phones in the Kandy town yesterday. The Chinese woman is to be produced before the Kandy Magistrate today.
