Five policemen attached to the Mihintale police station have been suspended after two policemen were found to be under the influence of liquor while on duty. The police media unit said that on Monday night four policemen were on duty in a police mobile unit in the Mihintale area. A family is mourning a Sri Lankan immigrant and his daughter, who were killed in a head-on crash on the QEW last weekend. Probe on oil leak impact

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board is investigating the harm the oil leak near Diyagala could have caused to the water supply after the oil got mixed with the Mahaweli River.
