  1. Please do not discourage workshops like this leading to reconciliation. Perhaps this is the first time since Jan 8, the new regime is showing interest in putting the UN mechanism to work. This type of workshop is very important to reeducate the Citizens, specially the anti Tamil racism needs eradicated in the South and anti Sinhalese racism needs eradicated from the North and East. For a long time since independence, the short sighted Politicians promoted racism for the benefit of coming to Power for selfish reasons, caring the least for the Country. You must establish branches of ONUR throughout the Country and UN experts can help in bringing back unity. With this and new Legislation for stopping racism and hatred will make the new regime come back to power ever after. Until the racism eradicated, irrespective Sinhalese or Tamils should listen to UN experts and not try to impose your supremacy on each other and spoil the spirit.

  2. This is good beginning and let us hope these MPs will keep to this commitment not just in words but also through their actions. They should now draft a new constitution that devolves power to the Tamils of NE to reflect equality among all citizens of Sri Lanka.

  3. I,simply ask a question from the parliamentarians where were you, when the sinhalese goverment killed more than two thousand hundred civilians because of the fact that they were tamils.Did you say a word in the parliment when the genocide was happening? Now,after killing those innocent people you want unity and reconciliation inorder to save the cut throats and culprits. Please take notice, never you will achieve reconciliation because this written in the history and tamils throughout their generation never forget and forgive.

    • The same place they were when terrorist LTTE Tamils were killing their own people, eradicating all other ethnic groups living in the North, under the LTTE’s racists policy. Where were you singing fish? What was your part in all of this?

    • Parliamentarians only talking never working. This is Sri Lanka . All those jokers and looser,,s in law makers. Never been a human. Shame shame shame .
