  1. medicines regulatory authority act no. 5 of 2015 which is effective from 01 july 2015. also, newly established national medivunes regulatory authority is not in the list of institutions coming under ‘health ministry’. so, it should be under HE the president????? . it is so funny to see an obsolete law is indicated in the gazzette.

  2. according to the detsils in page 22, deapatment of health services is expected to implement cosmetics, devices and drugs act no 27 of 1980, which was repealed by national medicines regulatory authority act no. 5 of 2015 which is effective from 01 july 2015. also, newly established national medivunes regulatory authority is not in the list of institutions coming under ‘health ministry’. so, it should be under HE the president????? . it is so funny to see an obsolete law is indicated in the gazzette.

  3. Subjects given to Mr Malik Samarawickrema has been diluted. He should have been given the Department of Commerce. How can he implement his programme without this department. What does Badurdeen know about exports. It is a very subjective allocation of subjects.

    • Rishad Badurdeen had been Minister of Trade & Commerce for more than 10 years and he had been very successful and brought in the millions of revenue for the country through exports. He is experienced enough to handle it and Malik Samarawickrema can take a lesson or two from Badurdeen

      • Rishad dosen’t know anything about Exports. He is not the minister for last 10 years, he has only 9 months experience of handling same. He is always asking money from exporters. Please check with the officials to know how much to pay for an approval.

      • Rishard has done nothing for the country. He may have been the minister, may have exported some walla Patta and earned a few bucks for himself but for the country, nothing. Malick on the other hand, has been a very successful Garment Factory owner who exports billions worth products on daily basis since 1978. Speak what you know.
