Probe finds Kotadeniyawa girl was molested

Investigations into the death of a 4 1/2 year old girl in?Kotadeniyawa found that the girl had been molested and murdered.

The child who went missing in Kotadeniyawa had been found dead last?morning?from a paddy field in close proximity to her house.

The police were on Saturday?investigating the disappearance of the?4 1/2 year old child in Kotadeniyawa.

According to the police a complaint was received that the child had gone missing early Saturday?morning while she was sleeping with her parents.

The police said that a search operation had then been launched to locate the child and her body was found yesterday. (Colombo Gazette)

Post-mortem reveals Kandakadu inmate died from assault injuries

A post-mortem examination has revealed that an inmate at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre had died as a result of complications from assault injuries inflicted all over his body by a blunt weapon.?
