EU to promote accountability in Sri Lanka

The European Union (EU) says it will continue to promote reconciliation and accountability in Sri Lanka.

Peter S?rensen, Head of the EU Delegation to the UN in Geneva made the announcement during the 30th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva today.

S?rensen said the EU will actively participate in all discussions during the Council, putting an emphasis among other on the country situations and thematic issues. (Colombo Gazette)

A Backbench Business Committee debate on the UK response to the human rights and economic situation in Sri Lanka is scheduled for Wednesday 9 November 2022 in the House of Commons chamber.
