Key witness in Thajudeen case under threat

A key witness in the case involving the murder of former National rugby player Wasim Thajudeen has come under threat, the court was informed today.

The Attorney General’s Department informed court that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is investigating the threat.

Meanwhile, former Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) Prof. Ananda Samarasekera, in his final report submitted to court today on Thajudeen?s death, said that there are signs Thajudeen may have been assaulted.

The report also states that Thajudeen was still alive when the fire destroyed his car but he was unconscious. (Colombo Gazette)
