Teen robber arrested

The police have arrested a teenager who had robbed a house in Mannar yesterday, the police media unit said. According to the police a 15 year old boy was arrested after he broke into a house in Mannar yesterday and stole a laptop and mobile phones. The young thief had stolen a laptop worth 17,450, several other computer parts and three mobile phones. Following the arrest of the boy the police said they had recovered all the stolen items. Police probe Kalpitiya bodies

The police are investigating the recovery of two unidentified bodies in Kalpitiya last evening, the police media unit said. According to the police the body of a 45 year old man and a 55 year old woman were recovered near the Thalawila beach. The police were earlier contacted regarding the two bodies seen in the area. The police media unit said that the bodies have been taken to the Kalpitiya hospital for identification. Further investigations are underway.
