The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today questioned four soldiers over the disappearance of journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda and later arrested them.
The CID had recently requested the army to hand over the four soldiers to be questioned over the incident.
The police had earlier this month assured transparency in the investigations over missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda.
Police headquarters had said that the police will not leave room for the investigations to be hampered by revealing all details to the media.
The police also said that key information related to the disappearance of the journalist had already been unearthed following the arrest of three suspects earlier. (Colombo Gazette)
