The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) is demanding the opposition leader post in the new Parliament which is set to convene next month.
TNA member Selvam Adaikalanathan said that the TNA has now become the third force in Parliament and so it should be given the opposition leader post.
Accordingly, he says TNA leader R. Sampanthan must be appointed as the opposition leader in the new Parliament.
The TNA will have 16 seats in the new parliament which will meet from September 1. (Colombo Gazette)
