Legendary batsman and former India skipper Rahul Dravid lavished praise on Lanka star Kumar Sangakkara, who is set to bring down the curtains after the second Test against India in Colombo.
Dravid said the retirement of Sangakkara is going to be a big loss for Sri Lankan cricket.
“He is not that kind of a player you can replace easily. On and off the field along with Jayawardene he was the bedrock of Sri Lankan cricket for a long period of time. He can be very proud about what he has done for his country,” said Dravid, who is at the helm as coach with India ‘A’ taking on South Africa ‘A’ in a four-day match at Krishnagiri Stadium, Wayanad.
