Two employees of an airline company were detained at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning with gold biscuits.
The Customs Department said that the airline staff were detained by Sri Lankan Airlines security staff and handed over to the Customs Department for investigations.
The two airline employees had in their possession 75 gold biscuits weighing 7.5 Kg valued at Rs. 37.50 million.
The gold had been brought from Singapore on an Emirates flight. The two suspects were handed over to the CID for further Investigations. (Colombo Gazette)
