Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara, who retires from the game at the end of the second Test against India which begins this week, has been appointed as an Ambassador for the National anti-narcotics programme.

Sangakkara met President Maithripala Sirisena today and accepted the documents confirming his appointment as the special Ambassador.

  1. Hope he does not get trouble from UNP Drug King-Pins. SLFP ones now being prosecuted by Authorities so we cannot complain about them.

  2. This is indeed a wise appointment and surely we have to make good use of such great legends for good initiatives and national programs. We are surely going to miss Sanga in Test cricket after his final game starting tomorrow and I hope that the government will have a special send off for our great ambassador of Cricket.
