Tourist Police unit to be set up in Ella to protect tourists

The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) says a Tourist Police unit will be set up in Ella to protect tourists. Facilities will also be upgraded at the Ella railway station, one of the main tourist entry points to the area, the SLTDA said. Suspects arrested over Kataragama temple shooting further remanded

All seven suspects who were arrested over Kataragama temple shooting incident have been further remanded. The seven suspects were produced in court today and they were ordered to be further remanded until July 4.
