Croc attack at Menik Ganga, man killed

A crocodile attack has been reported from the Menik Ganga in which a 25 year old man has been killed, the police said.

The man had gone to have a bath in the river when he was dragged into the water by the crocodile. His body has been recovered.

The incident comes as several people?visit Kataragama on pilgrimage. The pilgrims often have a bath in the Menik Ganga. (Colombo Gazette)

An advanced US maritime patrol aircraft visited Sri Lanka and left on Sunday, the US Embassy in Colombo said today. The ?Red Lancers? of Patrol Squadron TEN (VP-10) departed Sri Lanka on Sunday aboard the P-8A Poseidon aircraft from the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in Hambantota.
