Civil society groups sign agreement with UNFGG

Several civil society organisations?signed an agreement with the United National Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) today.

United National Party leader and UNFGG Prime Ministerial candidate Ranil Wickremesinghe signed the agreement on behalf of the UNFGG.

Chairman of the National Movement for a Just Society, Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero, was among those who signed the agreement with the UNFGG.

Under the agreement, the?civil society organisations will support the UNFGG at the August 17 Parliament election.

September 19 has been declared a day of mourning in Sri Lanka following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the President?s Media Division (PMD) said.
