After the successful launch of the real estate magazine in other Lamudi countries such as Pakistan, the Philippines and Myanmar, global property portal Lamudi, has launched the first issue of its real estate magazine; Property Now in Sri Lanka.
The quarterly magazine consists of the latest real estate market report, trends in the real estate industry, home tips, current developments, changes in the digital market and other pertinent topics.
Though the country’s real estate industry is growing at a steady pace, lack of information regarding the trends of the sector makes it quite difficult to analyse the future of the industry more accurately.
A Google search for “Fastest growing cities apart from Colombo”, “leading interior design trends in Sri Lanka” or “growth statistics of internet in Sri Lanka” would bring up minimal results.
Research indicated that almost 25 percent of the Sri Lankan population have access to the Internet with a predicted growth rate of nine percent annually, yet, a large number of people prefer traditional means to access information. Most of the real estate interested crowd in Sri Lanka is yet to indulge in the online means to access real estate tips, statistics and trends.
Consequently, as an initiative to provide relevant information, Lamudi Sri Lanka, has launched the Property Now magazine, which will be distributed at real estate developer offices, cafes, hotels, banks, embassies and salons.
Leading developers such as Fairway Holdings, Nivasie Developers Malabe and Aitken Spence have shown keen interest in the Property Now magazine as a means to provide information and showcase their brand new projects which are reshaping the skyline of the western province.
Hugh van der Kolff, Managing Director of Lamudi Sri Lanka, commented on the launch of the magazine: “Sri Lanka has seen some significant changes in terms of a new government, increased investments and growth in the internet penetration in the recent times. This can affect the real estate market both positively and negatively.
As such, we believe the Property Now magazine is the best way for the investors and other interested readers such as new homeowners, property hunters and students of research to learn about the real estate market and the relative sectors of Sri Lanka.”
