Celebrating Eid al-Fitr

Thousands of Charlotte-area Muslims gathered on Friday, July 17, 2015 to mark the end of Ramadan with prayer and greetings of “Eid Mubarak,” which is Arabic for “Happy Eid.” Eid al-Fitr is a holiday that ushers in three days of communal meals and gift-giving. (Charlotteobserver.com)
