Nimal confirms MR will contest from Kurunegala

nimal_siripala_b1Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) member and former Parliament opposition leader Nimal Siripala de Silva today confirmed that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be contesting the Parliament elections from Kurunegala.

Nimal Siripala de Silva said that several United National Party (UNP) members have been asking him if Rajapaksa will contest the election.

  1. Yes, UNP was expecting major split in UPFA/SLFP due to short-sighted Sirisena and foolishness of Chandrika. All the problems due to Chandrika who is back to Sri Lanka; executing Tamil Diaspora demands. In the past Chandrika had very close relations with LTTE movement in UK.

  2. Father Rajapakse is contesting in Kurunegala. Son is in Hambanota. Brother in Gampaha. Cousin brother in Monoragala.

  3. Aiyo, sirisena what ever your orders and condition make no action and after election your party will ask you to go home and hand over country back to previous corrupted leadership, for this people voted to you last election???
