Sangakkara star attraction at Wimbledon

Kumar Sangakkara was a star attraction in the Royal Box on centre court for Sportsman Saturday at Wimbledon.

England rugby coach Stuart Lancaster and captain Chris Robshaw are also in attendance, along with golfers Justin Rose and Luke Donald.

Irish legend Brian O’Driscoll, Leeds-born boxer Nicola Adams, veteran runner Jo Pavey and Paralympian star David Weir are also on the royal list.

Tennis legends Boris Becker and Martina Navratilova make appearances at their adopted home as do cricket greats Geoffrey Boycott, Andrews Strauss, Jimmy Anderson, former football stars Gary Lineker and Graeme Le Saux and ex-rugby aces Matt Dawson and Bill Beaumont.

They will see Swiss ace Roger Federer in action first against Samuel Groth of Australia.

Jelena Jankovic takes on Petra Kvitova second on centre court.

And Brit No 1 Andy Murray will play last against Italian Andreas Seppi.

Sri Lanka cricketers Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella have been banned from all forms of cricket.
