Twenty-eight Sri Lankan returnees test positive for Covid

Another 28 Sri Lankan returnees have tested positive for the coronavirus, officials said today. The 28 were among 518 people who tested positive for the virus in Sri Lanka over a 24-hour period ending at 6am today. Officials said that tests found that 28 Sri Lankans who had returned to the country were infected. Sri Lanka to purchase vaccines from UK

Sri Lanka has decided to purchase COVID vaccines from the United Kingdom (UK). The Government will purchase 3.5 million COVID-19 vaccines from AstraZeneca in Britain. Habarana party raided, 18 arrested for violating quarantine laws

A party staged in Habarana was raided and 18 people were arrested for violating quarantine laws. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said that the party was staged in Laksirigama in Habarana.
