The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) says it has not agreed on forming a National Government with the United National Party (UNP) after the Parliament elections.
Opposition leader and SLFP member Nimal Siripala de Silva said that the UNP is attempting to mislead the public by claiming the SLFP and UNP will form a National Government even after the election.
He said that if there is such an agreement between the SLFP and UNP then the UNP should make the agreement public.
Nimal Siripala de Silva said in a statement that the goal of the SLFP is to contest the next Parliament election with the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and form a UPFA Government. (Colombo Gazette)
