Shiranthi will go to the FCID tomorrow

Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa will present herself before the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) tomorrow after notice was issued on her last week.

Anoma Weliwita, Media Co-ordinating Officer to the former First Lady, said that Rajapaksa will visit the FCID at 9.30 tomorrow morning.

Shiranthi Rajapaksa has been asked to appear before the FCID to be questioned on the Carlton Siriliya Saviya project.

Weliwita said that the former First Lady never got involved in politics and instead focused her time on humanitarian work, mostly involving children.

Weliwita said that Mrs. Rajapaksa had obtained funds from overseas for her work and she did so in a transparent manner.

Shanakiyan accuses SLPP MP of attempting to assault him
