Wimal Weerawansa begins fast in prison over bail

Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa began a fast in prison today over his bail application being rejected. The bail application submitted by Parliamentarian Weerawansa was rejected by the Colombo High Court yesterday. Weerawansa has been remanded over the alleged misuse of Government vehicles when he was a Minister in the former Government.

Special police protection for girl’s schools in Colombo

Special police protection is to be provided to?girl’s schools in Colombo, the police said today.
