Government says no threat to stability

Ajith Perera 1The Government says there is no threat to the stability of the Government after a few Ministers from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) had resigned.

Four Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) members in the Government resigned from their portfolios today.

Ministers Dilan Perera, C.B. Rathnayake, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and Pavithra Wanniarachchi announced that they had resigned as they could not work with the Government.

However United National Party (UNP) MP and Deputy Foreign Minister Ajith Perera said that the SLFP MPs who left can rejoin to form a National Government after the Parliament elections.

  1. UNP is saying there’s no threat now. What about in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years ? Balupalanaya is setting the stage for Eelam.
