Ash: From journalist to actress

Meet Ashanthi Warunasuriya, an upcoming actress who is already well known as a political and entertainment journalist.

Ashanthi, better known among her friends as Ash, a was a TV presenter and model before she got fully involved as a journalist at the ?Irudina? newspaper.

A degree holder in mass communications and management,?Ashanthi had studied music in school and that helped her record her first song which she sang with veteran actor Wimal Kumara de Costa for the stage play ?Honda Seeya Mage?.

These days, apart from her career as a journalist, Ashanthi is acting in the stage drama “Kauruwath Yannene” Directed by Sumith Galhena and she will also be appearing in the television drama “Rajawaththa” and the movie ?Yalith Oba Enna”.
