The United States now sees Sri Lanka as a partner, a US State Department spokesperson said.
Jeff Rathke, Acting Deputy Spokesperson at the State Department said this in response to a question raised on Sri Lanka at the daily press briefing on Monday.
“We are building up our relationship with Sri Lanka,” he said. (Colombo Gazette)
