Twenty-four Tamil detainees granted bail leave prison

Twenty-four Tamil detainees granted bail this week left the Welikada?prison today after bail was posted to them. Earlier this week 31 Tamil detainees arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) were granted bail but no one appeared to post bail. However today 24 suspects were able to leave as they met the bail conditions.
