Thai princess in Sri Lanka

Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn arrived in Sri Lanka on an official visit which will be followed by a trip to the Maldives.
The Bureau of the Royal Household said in an announcement that Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is paying official visits to the Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of the Maldives during August 18-23, 2013 at the invitations of the presidents of the two countries.
In Sri Lanka, the princess will observe various activities and visit places of religious, historical and cultural importances such as the National Museum, a historical park and monasteries.
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will grant an audience to President Mahinda Rajapaksa tomorrow.
The Princess’s visit comes at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 260th anniversary of the establishment of the Siam Maha Nikaya in Sri Lanka.
While on the Maldives islands, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will meet President Mohammed Waheed Hassan on August 22 and visit the National Museum in the capital of Male.
She will return to Thailand on Friday. (Colombo Gazette)
