The Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the new Army Commander held discussions today at the Army Headquarters.
Chinese Ambassador Wu Jianghao is the first foreign diplomat to have formal talks with the new Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake.
A four-member Chinese delegation, headed by the ambassador, included Li Chen Glin, the newly appointed Defence Attaché and two other diplomats.
During their interaction, both the Ambassador and the Army Chief shared sentiments of goodwill and views on matters of mutual interest.
Towards the end of the meeting, both of them signified the importance of the occasion by exchanging mementos, the army media unit said.
