International singer Sean Kingston disappointed most of his Sri Lankan fans who had piled up at the Odel store in Colombo this afternoon to greet him and get his autograph.
The chart topping singer who is in Sri Lanka to perform at the Carlton Sevens rugby launch concert, arrived past the scheduled time to the store as his fans kept waiting.
When he eventually did arrive, his security guards told the fans and the media to give way and he kept walking through the store and stopped only for a few seconds to sign one or two autographs.
A seemingly tired and not too happy Kingston eventually left the store, not staying for even 15 minutes, after throwing a few concert tickets in the air for his fans to grab. Kingston was driven away under tight security with police escort.
Those most disappointed were his fans, especially those who had eagerly awaited his arrival hoping to take photographs with him.
The Odel event was publicized by the organisers as an event where the fans can “meet and greet” Kingston but hardly anyone could. (Colombo Gazette)
