The Parliament Select Committee (PSC) which met today to discuss constitutional reforms including changes to the 13th Amendment to the constitution, will reconvene on July 26th, the Chairman of the Committee Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said.
The PSC met for one hour today sans members of the opposition who had boycotted the committee.
Issues discussed by the 19 member PSC today were not revealed to the media.
The UNP, JVP and TNA had earlier refused to nominate members to the PSC until several conditions were met.
The government had said earlier that the PSC will go ahead even without the opposition.
The SLMC is also not part of the PSC despite being part of the government. (Colombo Gazette)
