The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says it has yet to decide who will be the Chief Ministerial (CM) candidate for the pary during the Northern provincial council elections.
TNA leader R. Sampanthan dismissed reports that the General Secretary of the party Mavai Senathirajah had been named as the Chief Ministerial candidate.
He said that the Chief Ministerial candidate for the party will be named only after the dates for the Northern Provincial Council elections are announced.
The TNA leader also said that the party will first need to decide if it will contest the Northern polls and that decision will also be taken after the dates for the election is announced. (Colombo Gazette)
