Military officer arrested over attack on wife

A military officer has been arrested over an attack on his wife recently, the police media unit said today. The police said that Lieutenant Colonel Pradeep Kumara Nettasinghe was arrested over the?incident where his wife was shot at in Athurugiriya by an unidentified group. The woman was?admitted to hospital for treatment with?gunshot wounds. (Colombo Gazette)

Another suspect arrested over hacking of President’s website

Another suspect was arrested today over the hacking of President Maithripala Sirisena’s official website, the police said. The suspect, a 26 year old, was in from Moratuwa. He was produced in court and remanded. Earlier a 17 year old was also arrested over the incident. The teen was today ordered to be placed under probation. (Colombo Gazette)
