President Mahinda Rajapaksa says new licenses will not be given to open casinos in the country.
Speaking to media heads at a breakfast meetings in Colombo today the President insisted that since he came to power licenses have not been issued for new casinos, bars or betting centers.
He said that moves are now underway to introduce new laws to control the operations of existing casinos in the country.
The President said that designated areas will be identified from where casinos can operate as opposed to the current locations. (Colombo Gazette)
