LTTE supporters disrupt match

A group of LTTE supporters disrupted the ICC Champions Trophy match between Sri Lanka and India at Cardiff in England today.
The first disruption took place when a man ran on the field with a poster in his hand and an LTTE flag on his shoulder.
Several minutes later five men ran on the field waving LTTE flags and disrupting play before security officers arrested the men.
The incident took place despite assurances of tight security for the Sri Lankan cricket team at Cardiff. (Colombo Gazette)

Cinemas to operate from 27 June under strict guidelines

Cinemas around the country will be allowed to reopen and operate from 27 June under strict guidelines. The Cultural Affairs Ministry said that guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health will be enforced on all cinemas for them to operate. Cinemas have remained closed since the coronavirus pandemic began to spread. All cinema halls need to be disinfected after each movie and patrons of a movie theater must maintain social distancing.
