TID files DO on two men

The police Terrorist Investigations Department (TID) has filed Detention Orders (DO) on two men arrested with fake Indian currency in Bambalapitiya.
According to the police media unit the two men were identified as a British passport holder and a man deported from Switzerland.
Following information received by the TID regarding the two men, an investigation was launched to arrest them.
The TID then arrested the men near a mini hotel in Bambalapitiya, the police media unit said.
The men had in their possession fake Indian Rs.?8,99000 at the time of the arrest.
The British citizen had been in Sri Lanka for 2 years, the police media unit said.
Both men are being questioned by the TID under the detention orders obtained from court. (Colombo Gazette)
