The United National Party (UNP) says it is ready to meet the JHU to discuss the proposed changes to the 13th Amendment to the constitution and the national constitution proposed by the UNP.
UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said that the JHU had requested for the meeting with the UNP and the UNP had accepted the invitation.
He said that the UNP is willing to consider changes to the 13th Amendment but wants to discuss the proposed changes first.
Attanayaka said that the UNP will also meet other political parties as well as the Mahanayaka theros to discuss the 13th Amendment as well as the new constitution proposed by the UNP. (Colombo Gazette)
