Brother and sister of Hambantota youth arrested

The brother and sister of the youth in Hambantota who escaped while in police custody have been arrested. According to the police, the brother and sister of the youth had protected him after he escaped from police custody. The youth had been arrested for stealing paddy but he was later reported missing and some police officers attached to the Hambantota police station were transferred over the incident. Following investigations the youth was found hiding in Dickwella and he was arrested. (Col

Sajin Vass granted bail in Mihin Lanka case

Former Parliamentarian Sajin De Vass Gunawardena was granted bail today in the Mihin Lanka case. Gunawardena was accused of entering into an illegal deal with a Singapore based company when he was the Chief Operating Officer of?Mihin Lanka.
