Ailing woman found in abandoned house

A woman had been found in an?abandoned?house ailing for six years all alone in Galgamuwa, the police media unit said.
The police said that the woman, aged 53, had been found after the police had?received information about her.
When the police visited the house they found that she had been sick for the past six years and remained in the house all alone.
The police admitted the woman to the Galgamuwa hospital for treatment.
The Galgamuwa police are conducting investigations. (Colombo Gazette)
