Several fall sick in Lindula

Several people have been falling sick in Thalawakale and Lindula over the past few weeks after drinking water in the area, the police media unit said today. The police said that a 46 year old man had also died yesterday after drinking what is believed to be water contaminated with some sort of virus. Indian delegation hold talks in Sri Lanka

A visiting Indian parliamentary delegation held talks in Colombo on Tuesday to assess the post war situation in the country, the Sri Lankan External Affairs Ministry said. Five injured in bus accident

Five people were injured when a passenger bus overturned in Galewalle early this morning, the police media unit said. The police said that the bus which was heading to Colombo had overturned near the Beligamuwa, Mahakade junction. The driver and conductor of the bus were among those injured in the accident. The Galewalle police are investigating.
