Brothel in Kegalle raided

The police raided a brothel operating in Kegalle and arrested six people, the police media unit said today.
The police said that the raid was carried out following information?received?by the police in the area.
According to the police, the brothel had been operating inside a rest house in Beragala, Kegalle.
Following the raid the police arrested three men and three women.
The police said that the women were aged between 19 and 30 years of age and are residents of Kosgoda and Akuressa.
They are to be produced before a Magistrate today. (Colombo Gazette)

Quarantine curfew extended till 6th September

The quarantine curfew, which was to be lifted on Monday 30th August, has been extended till 6th September. The Ministry of Health said that the curfew has been extended till 4am on 6th September.
