A racket where several Sri Lankan refugees were to be sent to Germany from India has been busted.
The Press Trust of India reported that two people were arrested over the racket in Ramanathapuram today.
They were planning to send several Sri Lankan Tamil refugees to Germany using fake Indian passports.
The police also found 71 counterfeit passports following the arrest at Naripaiyur in Ramanathapuram district.
Cash to the tune of Indian Rs 11.5 lakh was also seized from the duo by the ‘Q’ Branch Police.
