MR calls for fight against terror

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has called on all the countries to get together to eliminate the scourge of terrorism, the government information department said.
His message followed the Boston bombings which killed 3 people and injured over 150 others.
In a message to US President Barack Obama, President Rajapaksa  condemned the Boston bomb attack and conveyed his condolences over loss of lives.
Two bombs exploded about 10 seconds and 100 yards apart on Monday in Boston’s Copley Square, near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Three people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy. The explosions occurred four hours into the race and two hours after the winners had crossed the finish line, but thousands of runners were still on the course. (Colombo Gazette)
